Kyneton Safety Net Alliance

Proposed new initiative

An aspirational initiative and brian child of both KCC and Social Foundry, the "Kyneton Safety Net Alliance" is a proposed informal coalition/network of organisations within the greater Kyneton area who provide some sort of service to those in need within the community.

The overarching aim of the initiative would be to provide a comprehensive and effective "safety net" for those people who find themselves in need within our community, who, for whatever reason, have fallen through the cracks. The informal alliance would bring together these organisations on a regular (3 monthly?) basis to share ideas and brief each other on what each of the services they offer to the community, and most importantly - fostering collaboration with the intention of providing a more effective service to the community.

The proposed alliance members would include any not-for-profit or for-profit organisations that provide services to the community, and would include: health services agencies, local opportunity shops, local church groups, local council, community groups, etc.
