Will You Be Our Pillar of Kindness?

The Kindness Collective (formerly Kyneton Caring Community) operates a food bank, soup kitchen, drop-in centre and low cost op shop for locals in need from our premises in Kyneton.

Like any enterprise, we need to make sure the bills are paid so we can continue to operate.

Our op shop sales barely covered our costs even before the pandemic brought a sharp rise in food bank demand, and government grants are usually only available for capital projects, not for operating expenses.

You can help us keep the wheels of kindness turning by becoming a business sponsor today.

"Life would be so much easier if the running costs were covered and we could just focus on helping people in need."

Kerryn Wildenberg
Operations Manager, The Kindness Collective

We’re a force for good in the neighbourhood.

“I’ve been a regular donor for years, and I know my money’s being put to good use. Every time I stop by I see the terrific work they do with the op shop, the food bank and the soup kitchen - and they’re always making it better. ”

Jim, Donor

"I come from Castlemaine several days a week because I enjoy volunteering there so much. We laugh all the time. And it’s much easier to work there now that we have the heating in winter and the aircon in summer."

Glenda, Volunteer

"We love going to the op shop - the volunteers are so welcoming, it’s like visiting friends. I can find inexpensive clothes for the family, and my daughter loves to play in the toy room. I’d be so sad if it ever closed down."

What do the tailored marketing opportunities look like?

We’re offering various types of marketing opportunities, including social media, newsletter and events, which we will tailor to your business. Below are some examples...

Social media feature posts.

• Let’s say you’re a massage clinic. We can promote your business in a ‘Be kind to yourself’ post promoting your special offer. Or share your promotional or educational video.

• Perhaps you’re a bakery. We can promote your business by showcasing your signature sourdough on International Sourdough Day.

• Maybe you’re a mechanic. We can promote your YouTube video on basic car maintenance in a ‘Be Kind To Your Car’ post.

Promotions in our monthly newsletter.

• You can be our newsletter sponsor for the month, with a ‘This newsletter sponsored by’ tag in the header and a special offer in the body of the newsletter.

Event marketing opportunities.

• Let’s say you’re a butcher and we’re having a River Walk For Kindness fund-raising event with a barbecue afterwards. You can offer our participants a barbecue meat pack at a special price.

• Or perhaps you’re a restaurant and we’re running a Food Bank Cook-Off challenging local chefs to come up with the tastiest meal they can using only five ingredients from our food bank.

• The opportunities for collaboration are endless, and we’ll tailor something just for you.
